Infidelity, a shocking new trend.

Chances are, a majority of people will experience someone cheating on them in their life, with a very high likeliness of a second occurence even. This rate of cheating during marriage is now at an all-time high, with women reaching the level of cheating of men at a shocking 70%. Just two decades ago, the cheating rate for women who were married was closer to 30%.  According to Dr. Bonnie Eaker Weil, roughly 80% of all marriages will have atleast one cheating partner.  The rise is on par with the rise of rapid secularization of society,  a “coincidence”? I think not.

Remember, there are a lot of reasons to marry a spiritual, religious, optimistic, loving christian, but not least of which is your own happiness.

Unequally Yoked

“Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?” 2 Corinthians 6:14

Paul’s advice is deep-routed in why we get married: To start a godly family. With a disbeliever that would be infinitely difficult to achieve. Also, if the person you are settling down with has not accepted the message of love (historical or not) and hope that Christ offers, then they may pull you into unhappiness.

So it is very wise to simply avoid those unpleasantries and find someone who you have more in common with, and who shares the same goals as you. Remember falling in love is easy, but falling in love with someone who you are compatible with, and who will bring you happiness takes searching.
